La Comida at Tequila and Mezcal Fest

You arrive at Tequila and Mezcal Fest, and of course, the first thing you hunt out is the tequila and mezcal. But what about la comida? The food! This year looks to be another big year for the food on offer. And we think you will definitely enjoy pairing up the various tequilas and mezcals with these great flavours.

We know that Barrio Bars will be serving up cocktails galore from the main bar at Tequila and Mezcal Fest. But you can also expect some food. Barrio Bars will be cooking up their signature dish, tacos al pastor. Tacos al pastor is a pork taco made in a traditional way (like you would find in Mexico City). This is Ferdie Ahmed’s (the founder of Barrio Bars) favourite dish from their menu, which they will be proud to serve you.

Café Pacifico has a proud tradition – it was one of the first restaurants to bring authentic Mexican food to London. And you can expect the tradition to continue with their great menu offerings this year. Head up to the Café Pacifico counter and watch them grill your tacos right in front of you. You will find a street taco list including beef steak, chicken tinga, and a vegetarian green rajas option.

Temper is a newcomer to Tequila and Mezcal Fest. Temper first opened in Soho in flames! That’s because the whole restaurant revolves around their open wood and charcoal fire pit which is used to grill their dishes. It is a concept that has proven to be a hit in London, and is matched with a great mezcal selection. Temper will be serving up a unique taco. Their menu will feature a smoked and pulled goat taco, garnished with coriander, lime, garlic salsa and chipotle sour cream.
